Katherine's House

Katherine’s House is an innovative transitional housing program under the auspices of Catholic Community Services. Katherine’s House serves homeless, adult women in recovery from substance abuse. Katherine’s House staff and volunteers offer structured, family-style living designed to assist women to return to independent living as productive members of the community. Residents may stay up to two years and each resident develops a personal success plan tailored to her individual needs.

Our primary goals are to help these women find permanent, affordable housing, maintain sobriety, and reduce recidivism rates. 71% of women exiting the program last year found affordable housing; 71% have remained sober six months or more, and have not returned to jail.

Katherine’s House A Success Story
 After many years on the street addicted to methamphetamines and in and out of jail “Carrie” was able to move into a three bedroom apartment, reuniting with her two children through Katherine’s House. She celebrated two year of sobriety and graduated from Drug Court. She is employed and has been identified in the community as a role model and inspiration for others in recovery.

Spirit of Caring Golf Tournament

Join us at beautiful Washington National Golf Club on Monday, August 25, 2008 for a scramble format tournament and the opportunity to give back to Catholic Community Services. Net proceeds benefit Katherine’s House (and related programs and services in South King County), a valuable housing program and resource to women in recovery. Your Sponsorship includes golfing for four players, each golfer will receive lunch, cart, range balls, course contests, complimentary beverages and a gourmet northwest salmon and prime rib dinner. Tee time at 12:30 pm, shotgun start. Dinner begins immediately following the Tournament. Emcee, Pat Cashman returns to host the live mini auction.

Sunrise Challenge

An opportunity that will Challenge your endurance, your agility, golf knowledge, and overall golfing ability. For $150 per person you get a round of golf, cart, range balls, a continental breakfast, complimentary soft drinks and beer and lunch. 50% of the entry fees will be paid out in prize awards with gross and net prizes in several divisions. Invite your family, friends and colleagues to this exciting event. Tee time at 7:00 am, shotgun start. Must have verifiable GHIN handicap, net prizes. (Don’t have a GHIN? Calloway Division also available).
